    Type Breakdown

    Fire

Strong vs: Grass, Ice, Bug, Steel

    Weak to: Water, Ground, Rock

Fire-types excel in early game — they can light furnaces and deal with Bug and Grass encounters. Charizard and Arcanine are top-tier picks for survival and PvP.

    Water

    Strong vs: Fire, Ground, Rock

    Weak to: Grass, Electric

Water is the most versatile type with only two weaknesses. Gyarados, Blastoise, and Lapras offer great coverage. Water-types spawn near oceans, rivers, and beaches.

    Grass

    Strong vs: Water, Ground, Rock

Weak to: Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Bug

Despite many weaknesses, Grass-types have access to status moves like Sleep Powder and Leech Seed. Venusaur and Serperior are solid competitive choices.

    Electric

    Strong vs: Water, Flying

    Weak to: Ground

Electric has only one weakness — Ground. Use Levitate Pokémon like Rotom or hold an Air Balloon to negate it. Thunder Wave is invaluable for catching wild Cobblemon.

    Ground

Strong vs: Fire, Electric, Poison, Rock, Steel

    Weak to: Water, Grass, Ice

Ground is one of the best offensive types, hitting 5 types super-effectively. Earthquake is one of the strongest moves in the game. Garchomp and Excadrill dominate PvP.

    Ice

Strong vs: Grass, Ground, Flying, Dragon

Weak to: Fire, Fighting, Rock, Steel

Ice-types are rare but invaluable for their Dragon coverage. They spawn in snowy biomes and frozen oceans. Weavile and Mamoswine are excellent offensive picks.

    Bug

    Strong vs: Grass, Psychic, Dark

    Weak to: Fire, Flying, Rock

Bug-types evolve early, making them great for quick team building. Scizor (Bug/Steel) is a top-tier threat with Technician-boosted Bullet Punch.

    Ghost

    Strong vs: Ghost, Psychic

    Weak to: Ghost, Dark

Ghost-types are immune to Normal and Fighting — two common attack types. They spawn at night in dark areas. Gengar and Dragapult are PvP staples.

    Fairy

    Strong vs: Fighting, Dragon, Dark

    Weak to: Poison, Steel

Fairy is the strongest defensive type, with a Dragon immunity. Togekiss, Clefable, and Sylveon are dominant in competitive play. They spawn in flower forests.
